We have updated the Protectimus Winlogon & RDP solution, adding new authentication and token enrollment options for protecting Windows and Remote Desktop access with MFA.
Push Authentication
Protectimus Winlogon & RDP now supports Push authentication. Users can approve Windows and RDP login requests directly in the Protectimus SMART mobile app instead of entering a one-time password manually.
New Offline Authentication
Offline authentication has also been improved. Instead of using pre-generated one-time codes, users can now enroll a dedicated OTP token for offline login and use it to generate OTPs when their Windows device has no network connection.
This allows users to securely sign in to Windows with MFA even when working offline — for example, while traveling or in locations without internet access.
More Flexible Automatic Token Enrollment
The Protectimus Winlogon V2 version significantly expands automatic token enrollment. Previously, administrators could configure automatic enrollment for only three token types. Now, all supported token types can be enabled for automatic enrollment, giving organizations much greater flexibility in choosing authentication methods for their users.
Administrators can enable all token types or select specific ones according to their security and access policies.
