How to use Protectimus SMART in ADVcash

How to Enroll a Token


1. Log into your account in the Advanced Cash payment system and go to the "Security Settings" page

2. At the bottom of the page, choose "Token" "Configure"

3. On the next page, you can choose which token to use with Advanced Cash payment system - software token Protectimus Smart or hardware token Protectimus One


The Protectimus Smart software token is completely free, you can download it on Google Play or the App Store, besides, it can be used as the multi token to protect few accounts at the same time both in the Advanced Cash system and in any other services.


The Protectimus One hardware token does not require a connection to the Internet or personal computer and is, therefore, completely protected from the possibility of one-time passwords interception with a virus or man-in-the-middle attack.


How to Connect the Protectimus Smart Software Token to the Advanced Cash Payment System?


1. On the "Token management" page click the "Software Token" button

2. Download and install the Protectimus Smart application:

3. Open the application and tap the "Add token" button

4. Choose the desired method for adding the secret key - scan the QR code or add the secret key manually. We recommend scanning. If you can't scan the QR code, add the token to protect your AdvCash wallet manually.

4.1. Scan

4.1.1. Tap the "Scan" button in the Protectimus Smart application

4.1.2. Point your smartphone's camera to the QR code with the secret key, you will find it on the security settings page on Advanced Cash website. The application will automatically scan the QR code and create a token.

4.1.3. Enter one time password from mobile token in the field “Enter one time password from mobile token”

4.2. Add the Secret Key Manually

4.2.1. On the Advanced Cash website in the "Token management" section, click the "Can't scan the QR code?" button

4.2.2. Tap the "Manual" button in the Protectimus Smart application

4.2.3. You'll see the field, where it's necessary to enter the secret key, enter the token name, choose the OTP generation algorithm and one-time passwords length

  1. Fill in the "Enter Token Name" field.

  2. Enter your secret key in the "Enter Key" field, ignore the empty spaces.

  3. Select the timestamp key type with length 6.

  4. Tap the "Add" button.

As a result, a token will be created, which generates new one-time passwords every 30 seconds. Use these one-time passwords every time you enter Advanced Cash. If you delete the application or lose your smartphone, you will be able to access your account only after contacting the support team of the Advanced Cash payment system and passing the verification

How to Enter the Application Settings Menu?

1. To access the settings menu, depending on the model of the smartphone, tap the three dots in the upper right corner or press a special button for calling the settings on the smartphone

3. You'll see the menu, where you can synchronize the token with the Protectimus servers (if you see the message "The code is invalid" when trying to enter the one-time password), select the interface language (Russian or English), and set the PIN code for additional protection of access to the application

Time Correction


If you see the message "The code is invalid" when trying to enter the one-time password (Figure 15), time correction may be required: token's internal clock will be synchronized with Protectimus servers.

2. Enter the PIN code in the "New PIN" and "Repeat PIN" fields and tap the "OK" button

3. Now when you log into the Protectimus Smart application, you will be asked for a PIN code.


How to Change Pin in Protectimus Smart App?


1. Enter the settings menu in the Protectimus Smart application (see How to Enter the Application Settings Menu?), and tap the “Change PIN” button

2. Enter your current PIN and a new PIN (two times) in the fields “New PIN” and “Repeat PIN”, tap the “OK” button

How to Remove PIN in Protectimus Smart App?


1. Enter the settings menu in the Protectimus Smart application (see How to Enter the Application Settings Menu?), and tap the “Remove PIN” button

How to Enter the Token Settings Menu?

1. To open the menu of the token settings, a long tap on the line with its name is required

2. In this menu, you can copy, rename, remove the token, or change the length of the one-time passwords (6 or 8 characters)

How to Rename the Token?


1. With a long tap on the line with the name of the token, open the token settings menu (see How to Enter the Token Settings Menu?), tap the "Settings" button

How to Change the Length of One-Time Passwords?


For the successful operation of the token with the Advanced Cash payment system, the length of the one-time passwords must be 6 characters.
