Before purchasing, review carefully the technical specification of the tokens that you are going to order regarding the compatibility with your infrastructure. The technical specification for each OTP token model is presented on the corresponding token page on the website. If a token is found unsuitable because the user did not review the device's technical specifications before ordering, all costs for returning the device will be borne by the customer.
Protectimus OATH tokens use the TOTP time-based algorithm for generating one-time passwords. Thus, this product contains a built-in clock that may become desynchronized. Per RFC 6238, the time difference between the token and server should be monitored by the server software. Protectimus warranties don't cover a time desynchronization of fewer than 3 minutes.
Programmable TOTP tokens, Protectimus Slim NFC, and Protectimus Flex, support a time synchronization feature. When you add a new secret key to the Protectimus Slim NFC or Protectimus Flex using the Protectimus TOTP Burner app, it automatically sets the token's clock to the exact current time.
The warranty period for Protectimus hardware OTP tokens is 12 months and 2 weeks from the moment a device is shipped to its recipient. The warranty is valid under normal operating conditions and the absence of mechanical damages.
If the tokens are working without any issues, please note that the product cannot be returned or exchanged. Hardware tokens are designed to enhance information security and come with built-in secret keys. Information concerning these keys is treated as strictly confidential and cannot be shared with another customer.
